I want to talk about my new NFT spaces and shedding some light on Shawnee Rising Studios.
But first, I want to talk about why I closed down my online shop in the first place.
I was broke.
Honestly, that’s pretty much it. I thought I would be able to make enough money and help out around the house and pay some bills, but I just wasn’t making enough money from my shop. We got behind on bills and I had no choice but to shut things down and end my subscriptions to my website in order to save some money.
I stopped buying art and craft supplies.
I had every intention to keep writing in the blog, but I just didn’t have the motivation to do anything with my blog or my art. I stopped working on everything; blogging, painting, writing, beading. I’ve done nothing since closing down my shop.
I was depressed.
Here is a dream that I have had for so long being tossed in the trash because I couldn’t make it work out.
The one thing I wanted to do with my life and I failed at it.
What made things worse is that I now had to join back into the workforce like everyone else. I didn’t want to. I rebelled with every part of my being. I got even more depressed.
I got a job but quit soon after. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t bring myself to go to work again.
You have to understand that going back to work was the ultimate life failure. I was done working. When I quit my last job, I was never going to return back to work and make my art a hobby again.
But now I was being forced to because we were broke.
It may sound lazy not wanting to work, but it’s not that I didn’t want to work, it’s just that I didn’t want to work for anyone else but myself. It was a dream to work from home. It was a dream to be an artist. It was a dream to support my family with my art.
But I failed.
I’m doing everything I can to get things back in order to open my shop up once again, which brings me to NFTs.
“An NFT is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, which can be sold and traded. The NFT can be associated with a particular digital or physical asset (such as a file or a physical object) and a license to use the asset for a specified purpose. An NFT (and, if applicable, the associated license to use, copy or display the underlying asset) can be traded and sold on digital markets”Wikipedia
Basically, it’s crypto art. You buy and sell these art or photography pieces with crypto tokens, such as Ethereum.
I’m still new to the whole NFT thing, so I’m still learning about it all myself. Right now, I’m using it as an art gallery in a way and people can come and buy my artwork if they want. I share most of my work right now on my Twitter profile because that’s where the NFT community is at right now. So, join me if ya want!
Where can you find my NFT art?
You can find my bigger collections on the OpenSea marketplace. These consist of PFP projects mostly. PFP or Profile Picture, are usually multiple images created for people to buy and use as profile pictures on their social media. They’re also collectables that people buy, a lot like trading cards in away.
You can find my other work on the Voice marketplace.
Go check them out, share them around, and hit those like buttons.
I’m hoping this new NFT venture will bring in some money to help out with shop stuff, which brings me to my next topic!
SHEDDING SOME LIGHT!
So, what’s this light that I’m talking about?
Well, if all goes according to plan, I will probably open my shop back up around April. Give or take. Like I said, I lost all motivation to create anything, so I have nothing to post into my shop. So, I have to make things first and I will probably work on that before publishing my website. I will open when I think I have enough.
This time will be different. This time the fire will be lit under my ass so I don’t stop moving, I don’t stop creating, I don’t stop sharing, I don’t stop marketing.
It has to be different.
What I was doing before wasn’t working.
Please, be patient with me.
And when it’s finally time to rock-n-roll, I hope you will be there with me!
Blessings, peace, and love to to you!
Niyâwe! Thank you!
