Online Studio Update
February 1st is coming up fast and I am looking forward to dropping some artwork into the Online Studio. I have six paintings that are ready to go and I’m in the process of making some earrings. I have some bracelets and a few more items ready to drop as well.
Also, in addition to canvas paintings, I will be creating my own paper and using it for various mediums: acrylic, water color, graphite, mixed media, and whatever else I can find to sling on it. I think making my own paper will make the piece that much more unique and personal. It also allows me to recycle old paper into something useful.
I’ll be recording my process of making my own paper in a future YouTube vlog, so keep a look out for the notification on the socials for when it drops.
Support Shawnee Rising Studios
I’ve mentioned it before, but if you want monthly shop discounts and want to see some exclusive content, like a behind the scenes look into my studio or what I’m working on, then become a patron, a subscribed member of my Patreon. Your monthly contributions help keep me doing what I love and they also help me upgrade my art supplies and equipment, which means higher quality content.
I currently have four tiers: $1, $5, $10, and $25. The higher tiers, 10 and 25 dollars, receive a free gift 3 months after they sign up and then every 3 months afterward, for a whole year! Just a way of saying thanks for the awesome support.
So, if you’re ready…
Become a Patron!https://c6.patreon.com/becomePatronButton.bundle.jsIf, for any reason, you can’t afford a monthly subscription to Patreon, there is another option. You can buy me a coffee…for real! Buy Me a Coffee is a simple, easy, and awesome way to support the creators you believe in by donations, or buying them a coffee!
On my page, you can donate, or buy me a coffee, for as little as $2, or however much you want. Also, if you don’t care to hassle with Patreon, you can become a monthly or annual subscriber on Buy Me a Coffee as well, but without all the perks that you get on Patreon. It’s simple and easy.
You can find the Buy Me a Coffee button at the bottom of the screen and support me without ever leaving my site! Just look for the coffee cup.
Or, you can click the button below and go straight to the website…

Any amount, no matter how small, is appreciated more than I could express!
Shawnee Rising Podcast
My podcast is till running! I’ve recorded and published 7 episodes at the time of writing this, and this season will only have 10 episodes. I’m still new to this podcast thing, and definitely new to talking a lot, but everything is going good and I’m having a lot of fun doing podcasts.
So, just know that your contributions from Patreon and/or Buy Me a Coffee goes toward the Shawnee Rising Podcast as well. For the free version of PodBean, the podcast platform I am using, they only allow 5 hours of record time before I have to upgrade to a paid version.
I’m almost out of time…!
It’s not very much, but subscriptions start to add up when you’re running a website that require other subscriptions.
If you listen to my podcast, niyawe! thank you! If not, then that’s ok, too? But if you’re curious, go ahead and take a listen.
Let me know what you think!
Random Thoughts…
Everything that I’m doing is out of my comfort zone. Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee, selling my artwork…it’s all actually really hard for me to do. I have a hard time asking for money, even when selling a piece of work. I understand that to make a profit and a living income I will have to ask uncomfortable prices for my work. But, I think if I can get higher quality equipment and supplies, I feel like that the content and creations will be worth the price, because I fight internally with believing that my work is even worth anything to anybody.
I know everyone struggles with this issue. I know it will always feel like my work isn’t good enough. I just want to thank those who have been sticking by me, believing in me, and supporting me. There are still a lot of things I have planned for my future, ideas I hope will become reality someday.
With the help and support from family, friends, and even strangers, I believe I will achieve those goals.
Salanoki Kenole. Niyawe!
