Online Shop
In February, 2021, I will be posting all of my artwork into my online shop for my grand (re)opening.
Why February and not January? I keep finding more things that I need, like having boxes for shipping. Pretty important! I’m going to do it, no matter the circumstances. I’ve grown tired of waiting around. As long as I have the basic items necessary to ship packages, I’m going to do it this time!
So, in February, everything’s up for grabs!
Podcast
The Shawnee Rising Podcast will continue in the new year! I’ve made a promise to myself to start it back up after Christmas and New Years break. I’ve got a lot to get off of my chest and mind, like having Coronavirus! The podcast is returning to what I originally wanted it to be; a place to clear my head.
This blog is a place for my artwork and online shop, YouTube will be a place for my art and family, and the podcast will be a place to get things off of my chest, amongst other things. I will still share art related stories and news, but it’s mostly just a place to rant. In the future, it will also become a place to share the stories of others, as I hope to spotlight other native artists.
If you want to take a listen to what I got so far, then head over to PodBean and check it out! Let me know what you think!
Health
I’ve made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t let anything stop me this new year from getting healthy. My wife and I have made plans to diet and exorcise after Christmas and to make it a major priority in the new year, along with the online shop. No matter what happens this coming year, nothing is going to stop us from achieving our goals! I am making plans to track our journey in my YouTube vlog when I get it going.
Spirituality
The Shawnee people haven’t had their ceremonies this year due to the pandemic. So, I’m hoping this coming year things will return to normal and we can get our ceremonies back up and going. It has been many years since I’ve been to ceremony.
I have recently had a shift in my spirituality, as I’ve made a huge decision to let go of Christianity and to return to the Shawnee way. I don’t know exactly what that way is, but I’m hoping for clarity when I return to ceremony. Though it has put a tiny strain on the relationship with my wife, who is a Christian, I am hoping she will come to except my decision, as well as my son’s, if he chooses the same path one day. This journey too can be followed on my YouTube vlog when I get it going.
I’ll be sharing a lot of new and exciting things on my YouTube channel. I’ll be sure and post the link when it all comes together. So, keep and eye out for it!
This brings me to…
YouTube Vlog
I don’t have an exact date as to when this vlog (video blog) will begin, but I do know it will be soon, as my wife and I will be tracking our health journey as soon as Christmas is over. So, very soon! Like I said above, the YouTube vlog will follow me and my family on our journey through life. Health journeys, spiritual journeys, my online shop, family days, park trips, and much more. It’s my hope to share our story in a way that can be motivational and uplifting. Every family has their ups and downs, and I hope we can be as authentic as possible as we travel through those times.
The vlog will also have some times where I share my art, maybe an episode of me painting a canvas or something. I love art and sharing art, so of course the vlog will have some art moments.
Conclusion
This new year is gonna be better than the last! That I can promise. I’m very tired of holding myself back by being scared. My anxiety ramps up when I think of posting my artwork on my online shop.
What if no one likes my artwork?
What if no one buys my artwork?
Too many “what if’s” going through my head. But, I’m trying to silence those voices that keep me from following my passion to become a full-time artist. It’s what I want to do. It’s what I need to do.
I want to create things.
Wishing you all the best and happiest holidays!
NIYAWE! Thank you!
