There’s nothing like a huge explosion jolting you awake at 2 in the morning when nature strikes.
In that state, your not truly aware of what’s going on and there’s a million things rushing through your mind in that split second; bomb, car crash, gas line…
But the first thing I did was rush into the living room where Eli was sleeping to make sure he was OK.
I realized right away that it was storming. The explosion must have been a lightning strike hitting the house or somewhere extremely close by.
However, after checking on Eli I realized that only half of the lights in the house were working, and that there was a smell of burning wires.
Instantly, my wife and I searched the house for smoke and the location of the smell.
We found it at my computer.

It appeared to us that the power adapter that ran from the wall outlet to the WiFi router had exploded and, unfortunately, zapped my computer as well.
My computer was dead…
I don’t know how long it will take to get my computer fixed, I just hope that it’s before October because I really don’t want to push my shop opening back.I’ve been working hard to get things ready for October. It would be a shame to have to put it off for another month or two.
Nature hit us pretty hard that night.
If I can’t find a replacement part for my computer in time, then I’m going to have to buckle down and do everything on my phone, and I don’t know how well that will go.
I just hope the storm didn’t wipe my computer clean.
Either way, I’m still shooting for October to open shop. I just wanted to share our late night excitement with you.
NEYIWA! Thank You!
