How’s it going…? I hope everyone has had an awesome week/weekend. I haven’t written anything in a little while so I thought I would give a little update.
Handcrafts & Artwork
I’m still handcrafting my earrings and necklaces and they’ve been flying off the shelves! So, I can’t thank those who bought one enough for the support. Now, I’m trying to get inventory up for powwow time…
Though the earrings aren’t available online yet, they will be soon I hope. I’ve been looking around at different eCommerce sights, and even thinking of just selling from Facebook.
eCommerce
I’m looking into an eCommerce site to start selling my artwork and handcrafted items. As of now, my handcrafted earrings are only available locally, and I want to change that with an eCommerce site.
However, there’s so many things to consider when trying to open an online store, such as price, monthly fees, and customization.
The four main eCommerce sites I’m looking at right now:
I found these four sights to be the best options out of a host of eCommerce sights. All I have to do now and choose which one will benefit me in the long run. Some of them are free with a small percentage for sales, and some have monthly subscriptions. The biggest deciding factor at this moment is price. Therefore, once I start bringing in more money, then I will be able to decide on upgrading to a better site or package.
Life
I have a dream of being free. Freedom is what I strive for in my life. Freedom to do what I want with my family when I choose. I want my wife and son to be free. The 9 to 5 isn’t working for me, nor my wife.
What’s my dream job? Well, it’s this…right here; blogging, art, handcrafting, etc.
I want the freedom to create without the distraction of a job.
Now, I don’t hate my job or the people I work with, so don’t go spreading rumors…
I hate HAVING to work. We have this one life to live in and we spend the majority of it going to work. 2 to 4 days a week to actually live, still stressing of having to go back to work. Going to work every day is waste of a short, good life. It’s not what humans were meant to do, at least in my opinion.
Freedom…that’s my goal, for me and my family.
Video Blog
In the meantime, I’m still trying to talk myself into creating a vlog on YouTube and I can’t bring myself to put myself in front of my phone or camera and talk about…me.
I’m not interesting enough and I don’t do anything exciting to make videos exciting to watch, and I don’t want to force content.
One of the ideas I’m thinking about is vlogging about my art and showing my process for creating earrings or paintings. Likewise, I’m thinking about vlogging my health journey as I work toward losing weight and striving toward a better and healthier life.
My wife and I want to do challenges as well; spicy noodles, leg hair waxing, etc…I think that will be fun. Thinking about it now I do have a few things to vlog about–I guess I’m just procrastinating because I’m nervous and scared.
However, it’s something I really want to do, and one of the challenges I’ve thought about doing is to do things that scare me. So, I hope that I can overcome my anxiety and get it started.
